E500 Euro Lights. . . worthwhile?!?

On another post page, someone told me to snag hella 500E headlights (with the chrome surround and the driving light instead of the foglamp) from puma. anyone had any experience with them? Are they worth the $450??? I'd love to see pics of people who have them installed. I love the chrome around the driving light. . . I've only seen it on someone's sig once!

Euros for E500

The euros for the E500 are different because they come with driving ligh instead of fog light. They can be ordered from Puma at a great price compared to what the MB dealer would charge if he could sell them! Check with Dave Meimann at dave@meimann.com. He has purchased these for his 124. P.

OKAY!!! I will definitely do that. Actually, I just did. I really need to see these things in action. . . because when I go home over the summer, and I'm driving my car everyday, I'm going at it full-force! So, we'll see. Thanks for the help!

E500 lites (1994) won't fit your 1991 car, unless you have the updated hood and US lites to fit...you need the 500E euros if you want them in Prisilla.

Interiors have chrome paint...that's all that is different...other than the wiring arrangement for the fog light and city lites. Lenses are slightly different actually too. Totally worth it if you buy thru PUMA and early 500E lites were $350 last year when I got mine.

That's what I meant. . . I learned about the slight difference in notation after I posted. How did you get them for 350?!? He offered me from 475->425 since I told him I was on BNZSport. What did you tell him to knock it down to 350? Do you have pics of them in your car? I'd love to see 'em.

Several other 500E/E500 owners had a group buy at PUMA....the lites for the 1994 models are $100 more normally. $350 for the boxier, old, style W124 500E euro-lites. $300 for regular W124 euro-lites. Talk to Paul at PUMA about our group purchase. He should hook you up.

I have pix...I can send them to you but cannot post yet (digitally impaired at this time). what is your e-mail?

I actually have friends in your area (McClain even) more in Reston and Ashland. I come down in May to hang with those MB dudes with my 500E...you come by too.

That'd be absolutely b1tchin'. My roommate from last year lives in Manchester. Some serious pride with you Manchester people! He had more pride than the other roommate from NYC! Now that's sayin' something. My e-mail for pictures (my normal one doesn't have enough space for attachments) is TinmanF1@gwu.edu. Thanks man! Now, when you said down near me, which one are you talking about? DC or PA? I'd love to come either way!

Hmmm...never been thru Bumblescrew, PA...I drive down I-81 to get to my folks in MD...then jet over to Reston, VA area to meet my buds. When I come down we sometimes hang on the waterfront near Georgetown...where all those bars are.

Where is your roomate from in Manchester?...I live right behind the Manchester Country Club on Route 83....up on Case Mountain.

I send you pics when I get a chance. Send me some of yours too...JamesNorrisF@aol.com. Tanks.
