Car won't re-start if turned off when engine is cold.
I have a -95 E280 that have been workning fine until the last few days. I have encoutered a strange problem.
1. I think the fuel consumption has risen lately
2. The major problem is that if i just go around the block and then turn her off, the bloody car don't start again!
First start is no problem but if i drive it below 7 minutes it will not start again if you turn her off.. The only way to start it is to wait about 10 minutes again. =(
I am assuming that there is some part that feels it the engine is "cold" and maybe failing? Then maybe the engine get flooded and it will not start after it have vented out?
Othervice she sounds like a clock and runns like new. If you make a long trip its no problem to start her again. I am going to check if the pluggs are wet next next time, but do you have any advice? Any feedback is worth gold!
The silly mecks at mercedes cant take her in until about 2 weeks!
Nice when y try to impress the girls and it don't start? =)
Have fun.. keep it running. Danny
I snooped old post here and i saw this about the OVP relay behind the battery. Silver box with a fuse on the top. I took it out and gave it a few punches and viola! She starts like a baby now. Nice one, but i guess that its best to get a new relay to be sure that it dosen't get f-ed again.
The thing that made me supicious was that there was no spark and the spark plugs where dry.
BTW, for the DADDY grill addon. Check this page out. www.gericia.com Its a must for the guys that feel that have enaugh cheese in their pockets.
Happy motoring, Danny
