Missing W124's, Can anyone help?
 

If anyone has info on the attached two W124's please contact me as Andrew Stansfield of Classic Benz had them.

Rosewood E320 New UK Reg number K375 MGX I donated to him for him to sell and give proceeds to the Manchester children's charity but as yet I have heard nothing about where the money or car are?

Silver E500 Reg L55 ACE my pride and joy he was looking to see if I could find a buyer for as I no longer live in the UK.

I am in touch with Police and read some other forums on this guy but just asking anyone for any info.

Thanks for posting on the other forums. I am gutted about this whole affair.

It seems that several people lost their cars through this dealer, when they declared bankruptcy.

Either the cars were seized or the dealer sold them,and pocketed the dough, just before bankruptcy.

What an (hold your breath) ******* !!!!!!! :bsflag:

That sort of thing really get's up my nose !

Thanks so much for all your support and help posting on other sites etc it's really shown me already (as I am new to the forum) just how close W124 people can be as it's such a specially crafted piece of metal, made in W. Germany. Thanks again.

I just got this email from the police who visted Mr Stansfield and it's really a sad case of a broken man and makes the missing cars seem very irrelivant. I will contact him in due course and wish him all the best but at least he has said he has my car and the money did go to charity but that will be checked. Just a very sad story.......

I have tracked down Mr Stansfield; however he is clearly not functioning fully due to a tragic event in his family. As well as his financial difficulties he has to deal with his 6year old son dying from Cancer. His son is expected to die shortly. I did check it is genuine the McMillan Nurses where present at his house. He says he still has one of your cars that will need to be picked up. He says the other was sold some of the money was passed onto to the Rainbow trust. Due to the circumstances I have not gone into detail about it. He claims he will ring you back soon to explain the situation. I have warned him that he will be revisited, if he does not make contact with you and update you.

im sorry to say this but andrew is a con man. he new what he was doing. Bakes you other car will not be there, what car was it as i was one off the last people in his warehouse were he stored the cars

It was a MB E500 silver with black leather totally stock car with 8 hole original alloy wheels. Reg L55 ACE
He claimed he still has the car to the police and will be in touch but you can guess that he has not contacted me. The police are paying him another visit to gain more information now so i am waiting to hear.
