Upgrading Climate Control
Dear Friends,
I own a 1998 230e which I have had for the last 22 years. I recently upgraded the engine to a 1994 E220 sourced from a half cut that was brought in from Japan.
The situation is this, my 230e left the factory without an AC, just heater system as the car was originally sold in Edinburg. I imported the car to Malaysia in 1993. When the car came here; I installed an OEM AC that did not have the climate control features.
In view the half cut had a factory climate control system, I got my mechanic to transfer the system across. This is when the nightmare started.
I believe they did not pull all the right wires from the donor car and now, the AC system does not function as it should . The compressor does not come on etc.
We have been working blindly as we do not have a circuit diagram to make reference to.
If possible, does anyone out there have access to the climate control circuit diagram? The Chassis no for the donor car is WDB 124 0222 B 983061.
