On Cold Start, Car Dies. Air Fuel Ratio?
The last few mornings have been 15 degrees F or so. I start my 91 300CE and the car runs for a few seconds, sputters, and immediately dies! I have had to start it about 9-12 times repeatedly in an effort to get it to stay running. Acts like it's out of gas but there is fuel.
Needless to say, after much of this, the starter will be shot.
Talked to a friend. He thinks there is an "Air Fuel Valve" (or similar name) located underneath engine air filter at back of throttle body.
NO CEL so this may be difficult to diagnose. What part should I throw at this thing? Thanks!
