1995 Mercedes E300
Need Heater Control Valve Solenoid
I know this is an old subject...Heater Control Valve for a 1995 E300D.
While I have several feelers out for a used Heater Control Valve (0018304084), I'm also looking for a replacement Bosch solenoid that failed in the unit. So far, I've been unable to locate another (read: cheaper) used Control Valve that might employ the same Bosch solenoid. (SoCal Pick-A-Part yards don't have any E300's)
On another note, my independent Mercedes mechanic said I could use a 0018303984, which I purchased off eBay, with a few mods. I assume he meant blocking off the extra hose which goes to the 0018304084. Not sure if that's good advice.
Anyone had any success with a different replacement solenoid or modified use of the 0018303984 unit? A source for a used 0018304084 is also appreciated.
