Sportline steering box

Has anyone retrofitted a sportline steering box to a chassis without that option from the factory? I have a 2.3-16, and the steering is amazing. I am curious if I could fit a quicker box to my non sportline 300CE.

from what i have read a sportline steering box for a coupe is just a standard saloon box and a straight swap

Thanks. I know the Sportline option for the W201 (190E) series included the quicker ratio box from the 2.3-16. The difference is notable, and I owned a 300E and a 2.3-16 simultaneously. There would be no reason for me to swap the box in my CE for a sedan box if it's the same ratio.

It's not the same ratio. The standard 300e sedan box is a "faster" box than the 300ce box.

^^^ correct^^^standard saloon is quicker than standard coupe, sportline coupe is same as standard saloon and sportline saloon possibly the same as limo.
the ratio is based on wheel base.
