Trouble with start
Here is my problem:
lately i have been experiencing problems when starting my '91 300E. It will not start unless the accelerator pedal is pressed (it doesn't matter if it's hot or cold outside). At first this was happening only when the engine was cold but lately this occurs every time i start the car. What could be the cause of this?
Also when the car starts i have to rev it up a little (maybe up to 2000-rpms) until it starts to operate smoothly and quietly. At first it seems as if not all the sparkplugs are working. After this the engine runs and still performs very good.
The spark-plugs are fairly new, as well as the ignition cap & rotor
and the ignition cables).
Other then that I am very happy with the car, i have it for 2 years by now and it's almost at 220 000 KMS.
Thanks for any suggestions!
