4th gear

Dear Friends
I have a 300e 24v 1991 (4 speed Auto)

I noticed that the engine rev is high compared to the speed.
to give you an example going steady 120KM requires 4000 RPM of rev.

there most be something wrong.

appreciate if anyone has some sort of experience in that matter.

Many Thanks

1990 300ce-24v
I'll assume this is a new car that you recently purchased. The differential in that car is probably a 3.27 gearing. It was in my 1990 300ce-24v (4 speed auto) and I was showing the same rpm's you state.. I changed the differential to a 2.65 and now cruise at 75 mph (120 kph) at 2800 rpm.
