Fake AMG Wheels - YES OR NO?
 

Having lurked for a while this is my first post and hopefully some of you can can confirm my conclusion.

Just purchased a 95 124A and found a set of chrome "genuine AMG" wheels on ebay that needed refurbishing and repainting to silver. Here are photos showing the interior stampings and some shots of the wheels themselves.

I'm pretty sure their fake but I'd like to hear from the forum before I return them.

Looks real to me.

HWA means it's an AMG part.

eBay means no guarantees but I'd say they are real or someone went to great lengths to fake a set of wheels and I don't think so. That raised lettering had to be in the mold when they were made and could not have been added on. Just hope they're not bent.
