Need help with a wheel fitment on 1994 E320
Hello Everyone - I'm hoping someone can provide some guidance on wheel fitment for 1995 E320 Sedan. I've been looking to upgrade the wheels for a very long time and I recently found some without breaking the bank. My concern is will they fit correctly without me having to do major modifications. I'm new to the forum, so let's say I'm still drinking from the firehose. Here's my dilemma, I bought AMG 5 spoke wheels size 7.5 x18 ET 37 the tire size is 225/40/R18. Any
advice would be greatly appreciated.

Having the tires mounted already takes away your options up front, but the next time you replace tires, I would downsize the widths to 215/40's, or 205/45's
This size tire "may" rub slightly occasional, and perhaps rolling the fenders will eliminate that. Downsizing the tire width will certainly eliminate that.
But for now, just check the lug bolt length, take one of the lug bolts you intend to use on these wheels and test fit off the car.
using a precision ruler stick a lug bolt into one of the wheels, hold it firmly in place and measure the length of threads sticking out the back side, should be 17 to 20mm, (about 3/4 in).
If you measure below 17 or above 20, you'll need to buy different length lug bolts. If you measure 10mm, then you need to buy lug bolts that have a shank length 7 to 10 mm longer.
or if you measure 25mm, you'll need to buy lug bolts 5 to 7 mm shorter shank length. the most common shank length is 39-40mm. BTW are these wheels off a Mercedes that takes 12M or 14M lug bolts? Most of all the newer wheels are machined for 14M size. I'm not sure by looking at them what they were manufactured for. Whats the part number on the back of the wheel?
I ask, because I've mounted 14M R230 wheels on my 12M R129, which requires a special lugbolt, with a 12M screw and a R14 ball seat. It's not safe to use normal 12M lug bolts on a 14M wheels, the lug bolts won't have good ball seat contact and may loosen up over time. 12M with R14 ball seats are available from Otis

Anyway, good luck, these wheels should fit the car OK.

Hi ohollenbeck - Thank you for replying to my post! I'll need to measure the size of the shank and get back to you. As far as the part number of the wheel A1714011602 18" AMG MERCEDES C-CLASS, CLK-CLASS, SLK CLASS.
The person whom I bought the wheels from had them on a 2003 C class.
According to the Mercedes Alloy Wheel Bolts Fitment Guide, I think they lug will fit, none the less, I still want to measure the shank to be certain.
I saw the 92 500E, it's really nice! I love the wheels too. I want to get some AMG Monoblocks II for my 95 E320 Cabrio, but they're hard to find for a decent price. I'm thinking just for the time being of putting the A1714011602 18" AMG Wheels from the photo.
