Old member finally back with a W124
Hi Guys,
Ive had a few W124's before and have finally manages to come back into the W124 family. I picked up a 1 owner White/Palamino around 6 months ago with 134k miles.
The car was in good shape, but I have been slowly restoring it. This week I finally put on my 18inch Monoblocks (ET47) with 15mm spacers and a 1.3 inch drop.
Attaching some pictures: I look forward to being an active member of this board.
One question, my outside temp gauge come on and goes off randomly, and always shows 60 degrees when its on, I have replaced the display and it does not help. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Most likely it is your ambient temp sensor located on the front bumper behind the license plate bracket. They tend to do strange things when they begin to fail. Good looking car.

I just had my centre console wood, removed, sanded and buffed. I love the results. First the wood in my car was wet sanded with 1500 grit sand paper, then with 5000 grit and finally buffed with 3M scratch X.
I love the results, they do not look perfect by any stretch, but it has addressed my hazing:
Before:
After:
I prefer this result because:
1.] It is a much cheaper option to fully refinishing
2.] Because it looks good but is not perfect, I am not paranoid about using my car.
I also got a rearview mirror from the local Pick your part, replaced the worn out steering wheel.
Pending:
I still need to replace my headliner.
Fix my outside temp gauge
