New here with my 300 CE

Hello everyone, i'm Fernando from Spain (so sorry for my bad english) and i'm new in this forums.
Sadly my grandfather passed away this month and I have kept his old Mercedes 300 CE 24V. This car has been in my family for many years so I am very excited to continue to keep it in good shape.
The photos in the post are from a year ago, the car has been sitting in a garage for the last year so it needs some work, the last pic is the car now.
The only thing I know about the car is that it was imported from Germany and registered in Spain in 1992, but I think it is older. I'm not sure if it's a Sportline model, I think the suspension is somewhat lower than normal but I don't know for sure, it also has a 5-speed manual gearbox with reversed gears and the Sportline logo on the gearknob but not the the front fenders. It also has full leather electric front seats.
My idea with this car is to modify it a bit but trying to keep its classic look, maybe 18-inch wheels and coilovers or lowering springs.

Anyone knows where I can find a repalcement for the plastic piece in the front of the engine?
And also i think the car drains the battery too fast when parked a few days... Any idea about this?

I hope you can help me in my project and solve my doubts, I am very happy to be in this forum, it seems that there are many enthusiasts of this model!

Welcome Fernando to the forum .. This looks like a nice car you have . As for the battery draining first i would give the battery a good charge up .. And if it is still doing it after this, then i would replace the regulator thats in the alternator, these are held in with just 2 screws so easy to replace . But buy a Bosch regulator not an aftermarket from a parts shop.

Fernando, Welcome to the forum. It looks like you have a keeper of a car, my type of a UNICORN, great color, sport-line and manual gearbox, I've own three c124s none with a manual gearbox, some day a UNICORN will be parked in my garage.
There are plenty of resources on this forum to help locate parts and repair guidance, subscribe to WIS and EPC. Love to see more PICs
