1989 300E tuning
my last question is, is it possible to change a 300E to a manual from automatic?
thanks
You can easily spend more money modifying your car than what it is worth and sometimes it can be cheaper to sell your car and by something that already has most of what you are looking for. Example is some people want to put a turbocharger in their 300e which ends up costing them more than buying a 500e which will ultimately have more horesepower, more refinement and balance, will always have a great market resale value and is engineered by Porsche/Mercedes which is hard to match by tuning a car by yourself.
I'm probably going to be looking to replace this car early next year.
Springs = $300-400
K-mac camber kit = $300-400
Shocks = $700-900
Pads = $40
4 wheel alignment = $100-200
Labor = $300-500
$2,000 is just about right for the suspension alone.
If you want more power, you'd be better off getting an E400 or E500.

As I already suggested, for $2,000 work on your suspension. Lower your car and install your dad's 17" AMG.
