- Mercedes Benz E Class How to Remove Dash Trim
Step by step instructions for do-it-yourself repairs
Removing the Interior Wood Trim
In the end, it doesn't really matter to me, because I sold that car almost a year ago.
The paint route may be permanent but it looks the best IMO and is durable.
Mike they are not "expensive stickers" just because they have adhesive behind them
The stuff you put on your car is a vinyl sticker plain and simple and with the imperfections, bubbles and creases in your pic, I don't see how others think it looks good. Oh well I guess to each their own. I'm not here to insult your work or cars to those that went the vinyl route, hell I even tried the fake CF on my car for an hour :p
Good luck guys with whatever makes you happy with upgrading your cars.....but please - JUST DO IT RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my $0.01
LOL
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Painting is still the best route IMO, as for the dash pieces just those in vinyl wouldn't look too bad with the rest painted...
my $0.02
You're 100% correct on the stickers! They suck! That's like hick ****. err, gross! it's like putting a light up tail pipe on your car or putting sticker race stripes down your hood, because someone told you it gave you 5 more Horse Power!! Just plain stupid!

I have siad it before. the reason for the vinyl is because if you want to go back tot he wood you can fairly easily. peel and clean the residue.
Some people were probably just annoyed that they spent hundreds painting the stuff, when they could have spent a few dollars for the vinyl, which has held up for me for over 5 years no problem. LOL
Painting is all good, but for some of us, the vinyl gets the job done, at a cheap price and is reversible. unlike painting, which is not easily reversible.
I do have a new project up my sleeve on mine coming sooner or later, still workign out the bugs and process, but will definately be different.
