amps suck too much juice

i am running one of the mb quart 4channel amps right now. im using it to run my mids and highs and one small sub at the moment. when its on it sucks so much power it slows my car down alot. im gonna add another amp like it but a mono amp to run 2 of the big mb quart subs. how much slower will this get?! hahhah not too worried about it but thinking of a few things... another battery or a capasitor. i don't really think a capasitor will really do much so i was gonna try 2 batterys. yes i have already checked out optima batterys and the one im using is about the same. (they say the just last a little longer)any one ever have this problem?

Sounds like also your alternator might be weak.

I have read elsewhere that the 143A and 150A alternator from the S420/430 engine's will also fit. Don't quote me but I did look into it. I haven't done it myself as I came into a crisis and needed to get my car going again so I went with an OEM replacement.

ohhh.... i just put a new one on... didn't help much... my old one wasn't working at all.

separate battery is always good, but some good caps won't hurt.

You should have someone check your alternator to see if it can handle the amperage. You will find that your probably need at least 170+ amps. Why put in 2 batteries when the alternator is struggling to handle one. As for the capacitors, they will only keep the voltage level form dropping too much, and again if the alternator can't handle the current drain it will make the voltage. Also have someone check all the connections especially the grounds.
