well i got this baby a little over a month ago and finally i'm going to restore her.....what color would you guys do, same color or something different but something a mb classic would look like?

i would go old school and do the Mercedes Brown, makes it look classy

yeah i thought about that and i also thought about doing that w211e55 textile grey i think thats what its called, dark grey with some amg wheels maybe or keeping it old school with the white walls

It depends on what your project objective is - pure restoration or show car?

If restoration, I would say grey, dark mettalic green, silver, black (to bring out the chrome) or maybe red. Possibly with a contrasting roof color (black w/grey or white body or white w/black body). Not sure about the white walls on that vintage though....

If for show, cherry apple red, electric blue and put on some shiney chomies with fatass tires and a set of chromed exhaust tips. A pair of furry dice hanging off the rear vision mirror is mandatory :naughty:

If u want to keeb it original..then do it all the way ..
- original color.. ..and original everything else too..

If u do it so its perfect in every detail.. then u have a showcar !

My initial reaction was "Eleanor Gray"......followed by angel eyes.....before I fell asleep last night. :-)

cobalt blue and grey suade! i gotta side project too. 85' 300D. im gonna do hydraulics and crazy stuff. ive always wanted an old benz like what you got!

No crazy ideas but here's a few color choices to start your thinking....note the roof on the first one (not feeling that tho...)...quite like the light metallic blue one.

not really looking to make it a show car but dave i wasn't feeling any of the colors.......

i like that first pic that topdeez attached with the amg wheels........i could rock that one for sure.........

done deal.....theres a mustang that the shops working on at the moment and along with this guy right here.....after that i'm going to start working on it.......i'm puting together a list as we speak........i can't wait.........i wasn't big on classic cars but i'm getting into it these days..
