What do you think 96 E320 is worth?

I've been thinking for some time about selling my 96 E320 due to some life changing event. What do think 96 E320 with 102k miles on it is worth. I took it to a dealer other than a MB dealer and they told me it's 4500 but when I looked up on both NADA and Kelley Blue book it showed 10k for it. Am i missing something, especially the dealer was going to offer at half of what the Book says.

Unless you're desperate to trade your car in, pay no attention to dealer trade-in offers. Dealers have little desire to pay you fair market value. Last summer when I sold my SL, a dealer offered me $3,000 for it. I said "no thanks" and sold it private-party a month later for $11,000.

It's in pristine condition. No dent, no stratches. I have detail service record on the car. It has alloy factory chrome wheels, Trunk CD changer. I believe side impact airbags. That's the only options that I know of the car has on. I agree with you about the dealer, since I wasn't going to trade in to anything but just to sell it. I think i'm better off selling it privately since I knew the dealer's figure is really low, too low I might say.

I think you should be able to get at least $9-10k for it.
