i just thought i share this. i bet a lot of you guys tried this bulbs before but anyway, here it is i thought it's pretty good the low beam is GP Plasma Thunder super white 7500K. high beam GP Plasma Thunder 8500K.

Why do I get the feeling these bulbs will melt the housing or wiring harness?

is it that scrible on the bottom right in umm... japanese that says "i melt wires" that tipped you off? or the lightning bolt?

will it melt? if it will melt then i'll put the stock bulbs back. i really need feedback or info about this bulbs. i just put them on today.

Does is say how many watts the bulbs are ? 55 low and 65 high and your cool... ps. the problem with them is they look cool but they are very dim ado to the thick color coated bulb.. I have messed around with lots of aftermarket bulbs and the brightest bulb with still having a white/slightly bluish look is the the silverstar ... if you do not have actual hid setup... the silverstar is the best halogen bulb period.

i was never a fan of these bulbs because either they blow up or burn out fast...it might cause a sort with the wiring.......i had a honda once and i seriously went through so many of those types of bulbs that really its best to get a xenon/hid real kit......thats just my 2 cents

i concur...I've had my fair share of blub swapping and after i changed to HID, you wouldn't wanna go back...

check the wattages of those bulbs..anything higher than the norm, and theres a possibility of it burning..

nonetheless, i must say it looks good....how's the light output though?

benzodubz, I've heard about the silverstar, but can't get any of em here..does it give out good light output plus the whiteness close to a xenon?

Used aftermarket bulbs like that in the past in my jetta and they melted the adapter

I have SilverStar on my C230 and like them. I have thought of upgrading to HID but aftermarket is not an option (the reflectors give a horrid beam pattern) and having the Euro HIDs will set me back 1000$ or so. Instead I found my SilverStar bulbs at Walmart and installed them last October. I do alot of night driving and have yet to replace them. No melting or excess heat either. Total Cost of High and Low beams were about 70$ which I thought was rather reasonable. The color is a bit whiter. Yes the beams are going to be somewhat dimmer than a normal halogen (it has to go through a coating and that restricts light output. This is true of all colored/coated bulbs) But the color does "trick" the eye in to believing the light is brighter. Either way, I like the way they look.

55W low & 100W high. it looks really white but output is a bit dim. maybe my high beam should be alright since i don't really drive with the high beam on.

As RunInColorado said.. go with the silverstar low beam cause it is the one you will use always and actually give you some light.

ps.the 55 low is ok but don't run that 100 watt bulb.... she will fry...

I've heard these are good. I've been thinking about putting them in my 463, unless I can find a high quality xenon conversion. (does hella/ bosch make one for the 463?)

I am ready to order Philips Power2Night, I just talk to lady in UK and she told me the light is bright like halogen, but it has white output.

The bulb are rated at 3800K. My question is at 3800K it will be yellow like Halogen, any feed back please.
