Leaking Powersteering fuild, can't locate
wow… that was helpful…
so i guess you’re saying it’s easy to do…
i figure $30 would be like maybe 20 minutes at standard shop rates, right..??
so it must be easy… but it’s just easier to pay your mechanic do it…
if only i had a mechanic that would do something for $30… hehehe

Yes the Powersteering pump can be rebuilt..locate the name of manufacture on the P/S pump and go to the dealer and geta reseal kit..
Takes about a Hour to reseal the pump..
also check the powersteering rack seals...peel back the boots on the P/s rack to inspect for leaks...seen several P/S racks leak..loss of fluid without a visable leak..
After long time suffering leakage I decided to do something about it, I just had my steering rack changed with a used one, my mechanic tried to repair the old one to no avail because the rack pistons are damaged which render the seals useless, I still have a a very small leak coming from the pump but I'll have that fixed next month.
the bill was $ 490 plus alignment, what pissed me off is that my bro changed his for half the price just because he drives a '92 BMW 3.
