Synchronizing Sliding/Popup Sunroof
From my 2001 E320 Owner's Manual / Synchronizing Sliding/Popup Sunroof:
If the power supply was interrupted (battery disconnected or low) or if the sliding/popup sunroof is blocked during the closing/opening procedure, the system has to be synchronized. To do so, turn the electronic key in steering lock to position 2, move and hold switch in direction ^ until the sliding/popup roof is completely raised at the rear, and hold for an additional second. |
Nice, but what was the question? :nix:

Probably no value to anyone at this time; I was just bored and posted the information! :) |
Thank you. it helps to have that reminder, from time to time. There are other
sync/resetting sequences also for seats, radio/CD, and a couple others, I recall. |
I think that one may have to turn the steering wheel all the way from left to right as well to re-sync the steering position sensor as well. I have heard of the EPS or ABS light staying on after the car battery was changed.
I know that after I changed my battery, besides having to put in the radio code, my head rest would not go up or down from the switch until I re-synced the drivers seat. Should just compile a list of what to do after disconnecting the battery. |
I was informed by my service advisor that my car has only one touch open, not one touch close. Is that true?
