my rear Right window stop working

I was pressing the remote to lock up the doors and window and when I came out noticed my rear driver side window is not fully closed. *eyesrolls* So i tried rolling up the window and i hear the motor working but the window is not moving. So after reading some post here those who had a power window issue. As I opened the panel and I noticed the cable is binding and I tried to put it back on the pulley and noticed the pulley is made of plastic. So i knew that I have to get a new regulator. When I looked online to get a new regulator, I noticed you can't get a regulator alone since MB stop making them separately from the motor, how come? Additionally I looked on ebay and noticed the "aftermarket" regulator, the cable pulley is metal, did anyone bought one of those, are they better, in other words, they don't make a lot of noise or are they quiet just like the MB parts?

I got mine for my rear window off of fastlane over at mercedesshop.com, I didnt have to get the motor since mine was ok. I also got the rivets for the regulator off there, cuz you have to drill the old rivets out and rivet the new regulator in. Works great never had any problem or noise. Only took me a couple hours to intall myself. Good luck.

odd that you can't order the parts. I was able to buy the regulator by itself (mb branded) through a local indie from whom I usually get my mb parts. it was approximately 80 dollars, plus a few bucks for the steel rivets.

I got my regulator and rivets from the stealership for $69. They hook me up so that wasn't bad at all. Bought a riveter at ACE hardware and I was on my way. The only thing that was hard to do was to drill out the rivets. POS. But once that is done it is so easy to do!
