Finally Lowered my E320
I finally got my car lowered, I am running H&R springs and mb #2 pads with koni adjustable shocks and a K-Mac rear camber kit.
I had the work done at CARLAB in Santa Clara by Darwin.
Big ups to Darwin, Anthony, and Jose at CARLAB for the great work and same day set-up.
Here are some pics enjoy:

Lowered E320
Nice pics.
Maybe someone can tell my why anyone lowers an MB contrary to factory specs?
Do you guys race these puppies, or is this primarily cosmetic?
Regards,
M

I was wondering the same and if it is primarily cosmetic ,do you plan to put rims
and any other cosmetic devices on it? The car looks well kept, and I wish you good luck with it....

lowering has the visual effect resembling ground effects, and closes the tire
fender gap which, if left unaltered, puts it in the same class as 4wd vehicles.
immediately following the swap out to larger rims and low profile tires, the
result seems point to an optical illusion rendering a greater tire-to-fender
gap. in reality, the gap remains unchanged prior to the wheel swap in nearly
all cases.....but the draw to the Dark Side is strong indeed.
the physics of lowering is not w/o merit: the COG is lowered correspondingly,
improving handling response. lowering, however, does have its downsides
and this is where design and desire may clash with the realities of unexpected
street undulations, dips, potholes, curbs, parking stall stops, railroad tracks,
transitions in pavement angle eg driveways, etc.
the degree to which one lowers should always be balanced with an eye
towards driving style, that perfect look (subjective, yes) and suspension
travel needed to navigate your locale.
lowering is almost always beneficial in closed, road course venues, though
it may begin to fall apart in the real world of urban street travel.
Musikmann - if you think back, you'll recall that fancy street cars used to be
jacked up in the rear, with sharp rake down to the front. the desire to
alter, embellish, and customize cars has never stopped. with the MB many
find that lowering on all 4 corners is the "hot ticket"
fender gap which, if left unaltered, puts it in the same class as 4wd vehicles.

I notice most of African-American drivers tends to sit VERY low, head and body tends lean toward center of the car. ( Head rest of the seat is basically useless ) This type of sitting position makes purchasing in-dash DVD worth-while.
I also notice hispanic drivers tends to have seat very low and flat also. ( As if their arm must stretch forward to reach the steering wheel ) However, theie body position right on center of the seat.
Asian drivers (okay, that's my group) especially woman, tends to sit soooooooo close to the steering wheel, seat upright, both hand on wheel as if we are practice to become a senior driver or have to see the hood of the car to feel safe (yet, you don't see their head from behind anyway ....yeah yeah...we are shorty)
They really wouldn't care if you start flipping through radio channels, they are too uptight when driving anyway....

If anybody else did the same suspension set-up as I did please post your assessment.
