Engine stalled
Aloha guys. I encountered minor problem yesterday and just wanted to verify my finding here before I spend my hard earned money.
Yesterday, while I was going home, I got stuck in minor traffic. While waiting, my engine stalled without any warning. CEL may have come on at the same time it stalled, but as far as I know, I didn't see it before. So threw it in park and tried to restart. It took several tries and about two minutes or so later, my engine came back to life. I'm pretty sure people behind me was cursing but hey, what can I do. Anyway, after that incident, car drove without any problem and got home. Also, this was first time we have encounter this problem. This is primarily my wife's car, and she would've hound me if she has encounter this while she was driving so I'm pretty sure this was the first time.
Came home and scanned the car, I came across code 135: CAN communication with the engine system is sporadically disturbed. So went on web as well as on this site to find what this code 135 is. All I found was P0135, O2 sensor info.
Is this code 135 same as P0135? My car is 2000 E320 with Foxwell NT530 scanner, if that's matters. I want to fix this issue if possible so I won't hear it from my wife, as well as me not getting stuck in traffic again. Anybody have any info about this?

when you google foxwell fault 135--------you get what
FYI fault 135 is not equal to mb fault 0135
the purpose of diagnostics is that the diagnosis be correct

Thanks for your info Plutoe. But when I did some search using the exact word you used, which is "Foxwell fault 135" I didn't get much result. I mean I got some result, but it's not related to whatever I had or looking for.
I thought so on the fault code. My Foxwell only said 135, it didn't return with any P or B or C for that matter, so I thought it's different, so I just wanted to double check.
I haven't had that stall again, yet, so I can run any diagnostic. After I cleared my stored code, I have the usual non-related codes (such as for broken A/C refridge temp sensor) but that's about it. I'm not waiting it to happen again, but I'm OK for now. Car is running fine without any issue, as of now.

OK. Follow up on engine stall. About week or two later from my last post, engine stalled but was able to fire right up again. From what it was doing and reading numerous post regarding engine stall, I have concluded that it was my CPS. This very simple job turned out to be much more costly than originally planned. I looked at the brake booster vacuum line the wrong way and it broke on me. So that turned out to removing my upper intake, which turned out to be......................... Nuff said.
Anyway, it's been a week since I replaced my CPS and haven't had any problem. Before I sidelined the car, it frequently stalled (like in every 10 minutes or so) but it fired right up. But no stall yet.
So anyone having engine stall problem without any code, you may want to replace your CPS, just in case. If you have a code, than attend to that first. After I've searched the net, this seems to be a common problem with our E320. I have no idea why it didn't turn out on my first search. Maybe I used the word word or phrase.
