Do you park your car outside?
continuously park facing one direction (eg to the West) the driver/south side
will receive the bulk of the exposure and will lighten vs the pax/north side
of the vehicle. get a cover, car port, rent a garage, etc if you are intent on
maintaining the nice finish.

Raymond's intuition applies for Bossman123's scenario since Bossman123 lives in the Northern Hemisphere.
Bossman123: I suggest that you buy a cover. It's a wise investment. Continue to wax the car once a month or every other month, wash it bi-monthly, remember to wash the cover monthly, and keep the car covered.
Most people drive to work and park outside during the day so I do not think you need to worry too much. If people drive all day, the car is in the sun all day. I do not think it can be a big deal about the sun unless you leave it in one place for months at a time.
If you park outside at home and don't have to go to work, I envy you.

That said, we're shopping around for a new place, and first on my list of amenities is a garage
No, the coriolis effect definitely doesn't have anything to do with it in my opinion.
If we want to get really technical, we can have a nice long chat about wavelengths. Fortunately for Bossman, the car is silver which reflects most of the sun's rays (black attracts all of them).
Once again raymond g-, that was a very scientific thought that definitely applies to our daily life! We should not allow ourselves to forget to apply our knowledge of science in daily life.
