How good/bad is E320 - 1998 -TIPS
 

Hi everyone,

I like to buy E320 1998 -V6. The car looks good, only 53,000m. Everything works.

I would like to know if this model has any mayor issue that I should be aware off.

I had many benz before - 190E, 300E, 190E 2.6, ML500 etc.
Always love MB and like to get back to it.

V6? Is that some special "rare" model? If I'm not mistaken, it's a straight 6 sir. I got mines with 88K miles on it 2 months ago, the car is as smooth as wet ice.

Yes it's V6 - I saw the engine with my own eyes.

Nice torque, good speed. Very clean car. Low miles.

Original radio that I like to change to new one that has CD, USB and Bluetooth and I am done (for couple weeks) lol

I am getting the same car but here in CR. It's just to show that the V6 does exist.

I hope that this car version is good ;)

Sold for US $6,400.00 - - WOW - - I am 3x as much here in CR for the same car.

1998 e320 is definitely a v6, 1997 had the last i6. there aren;t any headgasket issues with the v6, only i6 had them. should be a pretty good car. miles are pretty low. one thing i would check very carefully is the spring perches for rust. also the insulation around the doors for little rust spots.

I have a 98-E320, yes it's a V6. Straight 6 W210 model was made in 96-97.
So far, the problem I've had are the two rear window regulators, some light bulbs. Others have had cracked dash board, broken spring perch, rust(up north), MAF.

One thing you need to be aware of is the harmonic balancer, if it hasn't been replaced - you need to do it soon (it's a recall - check with your local dealer).

harmonic balancer to be replaced only if the numbered part matches that which
is on your vehicle. if it doesn't match, you've nothing to worry about.
