Different of Exhaust cam lobe height??
Hi, good afternoon
Anyone can explain to me what is the reason and purpose of exhaust cam design for engine M111.957 model in W210.
my car got 4 valves per cyl (2 intake ; 2 exhaust).
But why "" Different of Exhaust cam lobe height "" ?

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Some
of the 4 valve engines had variable cam adjustment.The 3 valve m112 and m113 achieve the same thing by varying the intake distance by use of flaps in the intake track.

yup. i understood what u mean.. but what i dont understand is the
"" different camshaft lobe design of EXHAUST CAM" - two lobes with different angle and cam lobe height as well .. why ??

Probably
with the cam advance mechanics it rotates and decreases valve lift at low rpm to increase torque and increases lift on that valve at higher rpm for more power top end.

thru my examine, it's cam profile is different in opening but same in closing, may i know what reason behind to make it like that ?
