A faint sweet smell, dk what it is
Hey i left my car in the garage for a week and just took it out yesterday. Drove around for about a half hour then put it back and an hour later took it back out. there was a faint sweet smell in the cabin. Then i opened the windows and the smell was really strong. Idk if its anti freeze or not but i can still smell the sweet smell in the cabin. Where should i start to look?

sweet usually indicates coolent. if you're smelling it in the cabin, you can try
and isolate by going to RECIRC ventilation and seeing if you still smell. if so,
it may indicate leakage withing the cabin hoses. if you no longer smell it, it
may point to leakage within the engine compartment.
when engine cools down, note coolent level after popping off the radiator cap.
note coolent level over time to see if it changes.
(just my weekend mechanic educated guess)

Well something weird here. So i opened my trunk and i got a really quick strong whiff of something, im guessing its exhaust fumes. I dont think theres a leak from the exhaust into my trunk.
My Explanation to this maybe? I was replacing my tail lights in my garage, i got the 2 outer tail lights in. the 2 inner tail lights that fit onto the trunk were not put on yet. And my car barely started. so i took it out around the block without the two inner tail lights in so there was open ventilation to the trunk. Would you say that the exhaust fumes got into the trunk and this could be reasoning of this smell?
