Help- I need different LUGs - which ones?

I bought a set of 2003 CLK rims to put on my '98 E-320. The lugs from the 320 are much too long. Does anyone know which lugs I need and where I can order them from.

TIA...

Go to this post about mounting W211 wheels on a 300E.

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...threadid=32212

Seems that the newer style wheels use a larger diameter and shorter lug bolt. One person in the post above indicates that the surface area of the "ball" or area where the lub bolt contacts the wheel is smaller when a 12mm lug bolt is used.

If the ball seat is the same, the angle or bowl curvature are the same, the 12mm C class lug bolts should work fine. If the wrong style lug bolt is used, ie: 60 degree cone to mount a ball seat, then you are asking for big trouble because the mounting contact area is greatly reduced.

Tried Dealer

I went into the dealer and they said the only way they can help is to remove one of the existing rims. Measure how far the threads go out of the rim, and try and find that match that with the correct collar length for the new rims. He also said that if the lugs go into the hub too far it could strip out that ABS system.

It seems like there should be an easier way....
