About to pull the trigger on an 98 wagon

About to pull the trigger on an 98 wagon. 98k miles No 4matic. Interior leather a little dirty. everything works. Rides sweet. Is 5,500 a good price?
Have you had a professional inspection?
And that includes peeling back the mastic and looking at the spring perches.
Has it had the recall on the harmonic balancer performed if the vin is subject to that recall?
Has the transmission been inspected for proper operation?
Has the car been scanned for codes??
Has the onboard diagnostics been performed on the a/c ?
The suspension and braking system inspected?
inspected for rust?
Without all of this being addressed nobody can tell you if the price is fair.

The answer is no to all of the above. Some service records were shown up until 04. I have a certified MB mechanic that is going to take a look at it. I will make sure he pays attention to what you've listed. Thanks
I guess low mileage is not what defines a good buy. BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT.

Thanks Ohlord.
I LOVE THIS BOARD.
Thanks again
