Question Lowering Shops in Los Angeles Area

Hey I just purchased H&R lowering springs along with some newer shocks for my 99 E320. I was wondering if anyone know a cheap place to get them installed around LA. Ive been to Stokes and they quoted me $400 just for the springs. I have a friend who said he can do both shocks and springs for $200, and was wondering if anyone knows anyone with a better price.

Also I have 18" wheels with 245/40/18 tires, and was wondering if there will be any problem with the tires rubbing once lowered.

Thanks for the help.

If your friend has the tools to do it and he is charging you $200, I would go to a shop and pay the extra money, just out of principle. I know a shop in the valley that will do it for around $350 including your shocks and springs. It's an all Mercedes shop and the mechanics are great. Let me know if you need the info...

Pete's actually the one to speak with at TWS. He's really quite good.

If you're looking for someone reasonably priced, contact KWiK on this forum. He's done a number of W210's W203's and others.
He's quick, and very reasonably priced.

I'd like the number! I just called TWS and they said H&R springs would be $240 plus $150 labor form my C230 coupe. There's a place in Alhambra called D2technik that quoted $350 total for what sounded like "Ibox" springs or something like that.

$300-350 is for the total labor only for the shocks and springs and not the actual parts! Also, it's Eibach Springs that they were quoting you on. Both of those prices that you got including the springs and the labor are pretty good, especially $390 from TWS. I would personally go with TWS over D2 anyday. I did not like the service from D2 and the guys from TWS are cool to deal with...

Oh I almost forgot, if you end up buying the springs and shocks separetely and would like to have them installed, the name of the shop is MBZ Motors located in Winnetka. Call and ask for George or Tony at (818) 709-5400 and tell them that Jimmy the Greek sent you so that they may give you a great deal! Good luck.
