Which exhaust?
Further to my earlier quest for a more individual body kit, I have rather reluctantly opted for the mild AMG kit (due to limited choices and price!).
Now I'm trying to select a set of pipes for my new look. Again, choices are limited - AMG, Lorinser, Carlsson, Brabus, Sebring and Schwatz (???). Worst, the only available stock are AMG and Sebring (otherwise, I'd have to wait a couple of months).
My mechanic distributes Sebring and swears by them (obviously!). He even told me that they make them for AMG and Brabus - is that true? So far, based on two simple criterion, acoustics and looks, the Sebring stacks up (louder and deeper sounding than the AMG's, plus its round, more sturdy looking (not oval) and larger in diameter).
Does anyone have any knowledge/opinion of the Sebrings or anyone with a better choice?
As I'm taking my car in for the makeover in the next few days, I'd really really appreciate a response soon.......

Thanks dude, but what brand is it?
Do you think the brand (hence specs on the pipes) also makes a difference on performance and would removing the mid-muffler (pre-muffler?, whatever) - my mechanic said he could do it for me for less than US$80 to make the exhaust sound even more menancing.

Just getting rid of the mid muffler would make it louder but not the growl sound you might be looking for. The aftermarket mufflers have small baffles in the tubes that create a nice rumble.

Hey man...Nice exhaust btw....If your exhaust guy is good, i would say have him build you a custom exhaust....There is a guy here in Orlando who has worked on the past 3 of my cars making custom exhausts for me....I'll be taking him the benz soon 
Can't wait for this, and plus I save big $$ with him....I would talk to your tech before buying anything.

Thanks E-Klasse. I think I'll keep the mid-muffler first and see what the difference is with the new pipes. Will probably go for the Sebrings that looks very similar to your's except with a logo engraved on the top) - what's the diameter of the pipes on yours? BTW, what's the title of your album/your alias on Benzworld, tried looking for the E320 Sport but couldn't.
Benz, assuming some of your comments were for me, In agree custom made would be a good option but unfortunately there's no one that does custom made exhausts (at least good quality ones) where I am (in HK) but thanks anyway.

My galleries are under "Arizona Benz" in both the W210 and the W201 groups. But there must be a problem on that page because I could not get in to it just now. Might have to try again later.

Seen your pics - looking hot. It'll be a shame if you got rid of it as you had intended. Looking forward to when you do the exterior............ errr, was it Benz who was going to sell it? Anyway, tight looking vehicle.
