Hey, just a suggestion. Go to a paint shop and have them mix a can of 744 Brilliant silver for you and then mask your doors and bumper and paint the black trim on the bottom of the car. Also, if you are looking for springs, I purchased the H&R kit and cut 1 coil with spring pad #1. Just for your reference.

Naa, just the h&r springs or w/e it's called. Think it ran me like 130-180 but that's wholesale I think.. Umm Yeaa I painted my trim my self, masked that **** and sprayed it. Makes the car look alot better. Just make sure you get it mixed to 744 silver. Also if you change the springs be carefull with the springs because they are always under tension, and the spring compressors you can rent at like autozone won't fit in our cars. If you have any questions pm me and I'll let you know how to get them out easily.

today was a nice day, so finally got around to installing those rear springs with the #1 pads. now all thats left if to get and install to #1 up front. will get some pictures when i'm done, looks kinda odd now that the rear is quite a bit lower then the front....

Btw if anyone needs to borrow some spring compressors to do their springs in the bay area i can lend you mines just send me a PM. i have some replica Klann ones which worked great and didnt feel cheap at all, most important i didnt have to get a shop to do it, save some $$$$.

yea, H&Rs are kind of weird. You have to run the #1 pads in the front or else it'll look almost stock height, while the rear gets a good drop. They say cutting on coil on the front on H&Rs will give a more even drop.

i would defiantly recommend painting the lower trim it really updates the look of the car a bit, and whats even better if you can find a set of face-lifted sideskirts.... but i havent had any luck

Ya, that is the H&R springs with exactly one coil cut on spring pad #1. I am on 18's with a 235/40/18 tire as well, be careful if you are on 20's because if you cut to mush the rims might rub really bad. Tomorrow Ill snap some better pics with my D60 and post em here so you can see better.

As far as the spring compressor goes. Which one do you have BLACKEDw210? Because the MCphearson and the coilspring one wont fit with the H&R springs on our cars.

Any one know, does the facelift sideskirts fit on the nonfacelift w210?

Yessir, pre-facelift skirts and face-lift skirts are interchangeable as well as rear bumpers too if I'm not mistaken...the front clip is all that changed exterior wise =]

Sourcing Info

SWEET! I love when sh*t is inter-changeable : )
  • Rear Bumper
Anyone know of a good source for rear bumper (Used or new)? Side skirts too.
MB salvage yards are very few around Seattle area..and not a lot of parts to choose from.
