Airbag Sensor - Connections, Locations
Hi,
Attached is a general picture of the airbag sensor located under the ashtray in the middle console. (So, you know what I am talking about.
)
In my 1996 W210 E220 Diesel car, some cables connecting to this sensor are bridged, modified etc. Since the passenger side airbag was missing, I can assume that the modification was to disable the passenger airbag sensor or the SRS light in the instrument panel.
I bought a second hand passenger airbag, mounted it in place (didn't connect the cable though). And now before I continue connecting passenger side airbag, I want to be sure that the main sensor in the middle will be as in unmodified condition. And for this, I need to know the wire connections to this sensor, what they are, what they are connected to, which color cable is what, etc.
Can anyone please be helpful for this?
PS: As far as I know, there are two side sensors and one main sensor for airbags, right? (I have side airbags, driver and passenger airbag)
