My drivers side mirror cover was shaking and i noticed it wasnt flush, so i decided to take it off, the cover that is, and now it will not go back on and stay on. i can push as hard as i want, yet, it wont stay on if i pull it back, so basically it wont stay on or locked on.

Use a screw driver to push the wire over the cover catch!!

the face lift models have a "U" shaped piece of spring metal, unlike the wire catch used in the
earlier models. take a look at the 'cheat sheet' for links to wing mirror troubleshooting
