by the way, for insurance purposes, they jammed the wheels back on! After the crash, the drivers side wheels were totally ripped off of the vehicle after hitting 3 lightpoles and a couple parking medians!! Here is a pic of the passenger side after the crash!

19 year old in new Camaro lost control in the rain and hit me in the side at about 50 mph!! The car spun about 10 times, hit some lightpoles and parking medians before getting another "NO PARKING" lightpole jammed up underneath my car!! I also did not have my seatbelt on at the time and luckily the side airbags went off!! The 50+ bystanders claimed that they thought that I was dead!! Thank God for the steel sidebeams!!

Hey, thanks for responding! I am already getting alot of talk about getting a 2000 BMW 540i instead of another MB!!! Without me searching the forums, don't you also have a BMW?

What exactly do you mean by the mileage on the BMW. I also am familiar with Mercedes quality but I was also told my numerous people that as long as you keep up the care on the BMW that it will last very long!! I also was thinking about returning the car (just purchased on Saturday) and buying "JimmydaGreeks" MB that is on the website!!

Also, BMW in general, I found, that they do not hold their values as good as Mercedes. And I could go on and on, saying things like "BMW, poor man's Mercedes" etc, but then it's all about brand loyalty

Yeah I bought the car already!! I had to take the rental back on Monday and received the insurance check on Thursday if that makes sense!! I have always for whatever reason liked BMW's (suspension is low, more HP, etc) - - - I have ordered new wheels and alot of other parts as well! I have also heard pros and cons from both sides and I know that this is a MB forum and people don't like BMW's on this site. Surprisingly the insurance company didn't totally rip me off - - I had a 98 E320 with E55 AMG wheels and some other custom parts with 93000 miles on it and they gave me $23,520 for the car. Let me know what you think!

Yes and while talking to "jimmydagreek" with the 97e420 with 19" Carlssons and the H&R spings and Bilstein shocks, he would sell at 21,000 or make a deal!!

Sorry for the off topic guys but Doc, I need to purch. a large SUV or Crewcab Chevy for work and at the moment, cannot afford both (I am taking the plunge next year). I will get another Benz though later on for the fiance as she has learned to love and appreciate them, from me of course. Maybe another E or C class. We'll just have to wait and see. This doesn't mean that you all will see the last of me. I'll still be chatting away in here with you guys as usually...
