Hello everyone, I am a first time car owner (teenager) and I lucked out in getting a black/tan 2002 e430 sport with only 32k miles for $5,000 from some family friends. Car had a $61k sticker new. The car is amazing I love it, I was originally looking for something more sporty and stick shift, but I have no regrets in this car. V8, leather, power everything I really could not ask for more. Sure, like every used car it needs a few things which I already got a few things done. My uncle had a set of 06' E55 wheels which he gave them to me free of cost (not on the car yet, waiting for lugs, wheels fit though), I just got a set of continentals conti sport contact i believe, not a really sporty tire like the sport conti 2 and 3's, but I'm on a budget, all 4 with plenty of life mounted and balanced $220. 265's in the back 245's in the front (1/8 inch clearance, but hey it clears lock to lock). I got new sun visors from the local junk yard in good condition for $50 for the pair. Few things I have some questions about because I don't know much about the w210.

1) I dont trust my windows haha. I've read on here regulators go bad, but i'm not an expert on this stuff, i'm a studying a&p student still in high school. So, i put my passenger window down the other day, worked fine, i go to put it back up and it went up half way, paused, and went back down. Luckily with some messing around I got it back up but I am scared to try my windows again. I live in Miami and it's the rainy season. So with that said, any suggestions as to what it may be?

2) I really like the look of headlights with black housing, any good bands, bulbs, or anything I should know before buying a set of new headlights?

3) AUX cable! I need my music, radio sucks. I know there was an option for that year to play an mp3 device but my car did not come with that option. Any suggestions?

4) I don't really like aftermarket parts on a Mercedes because i think the early 2000's were the last of the "Over-Built" Mercedes. That being said, would a set of e55 spring fit on the car and make the car a little lower and firmer ride? Would a e55 exhaust or muffler be worth it? The car needs new disks also, with bigger wheels (18") i believe i can fit bigger brakes, is it too pricey for an upgrade?

anyway what exactly about the headlights? yours have self leveling, aftermarket doesn't. people usually go for depo, good quality (i sanded and re-cleared ours)

Aside from the wheels, your E430 looks very much like my E320.

 

if you have command navigation the there is a aux plug in the glove box.
