replaced shift rod bushings, shift rod still rubbing on driveline coupling
I just replaced my shift rod bushings a couple of months ago and it fixed the problem until today. The shifter is vibrating violently at times, especially around corners, hitting a bump in the road or starting from a light. I have not looked under the car yet but I can't believe there worn already.
The car is also vibrating a little more than normal when at a light, does anybody think it could be motor mounts or tranny mount? I was just under the car flushing the radiator, changing hoses, thermostats and fresh coolant. I glanced around with a light. I didn't notice any fluid leaking from motor mounts. I didn't look at the shift rod because I thought that problem was solved.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Sounds like mounts to me---simple test put the car on a lift have your counterpart play with the accelerator while you are under looking at the drive train---wada you see??

Thanks Plutoe, that's kind of what I was thinking it might be. Going to try to get under it tomorrow. The car was involved in an accident before I bought it. Not sure the prior owner replaced the mounts-judging from the work I saw done on it. Thinking about replacing the transmission mount as well. Do you concur?
