Hello out there !
Has anyone figured out how to set the COMAND clock to the Australian Eastern Standard Time zone - i.e. GMT + 10 hours?
Of course I can set it manually in the garage when there are no GPS satellites in view but as soon as I hit the road again,it picks up a satellite and resets to GPS time plus whatever country is set.
BUT
The BIG bugbear appears to be that Australia is not in the country list accessed via "SYS" and then "Settings" and then "Date/Time.
In fact there are no countries within our zone of longitude in that Country list, yet this MB was sold new into Australia.
Is there an engineering-level secret fix for this?
The dash clock is also driven by the COMAND unit and so it is always wrong as well.

Go under Quote then go to the section below that says Manage attachments Then browse once in the file drag them over to where you want to put them on the quote. Hope that helps

Yes, done that and it uploaded 4 image files - but where are they?

you cannot just download they go to no mans land. You have to drag the file into the box where you are writing. If you did that then I have no idea what happened

As for the issue is the car an Australian model or was it imported? Also what options does it give you?

I'm only a newbie with MB and bought this vehicle as an absolute bargain last year for AUD16,000. It had an elderly rural owner (who already had a large MB saloon) and who bought this E320 for his wife - but she didn't drive it much. He became ill and she stopped driving it altogether. Couldn't bear to part with it until a fair while after his unfortunate demise. It slept in their garage for a few years.

Its a 2002 model and only had 43,000 Km on the clock. As you can see from the pics, it's immaculate. The agent who did a comprehensive service on it at the start of our ownership said YOU STOLE IT when I revealed the sale price.
In his words: "it looks like it just left the factory and it's not even run-in yet!"
Such a joy to drive and amazing economy for a 3 litre V6 - returns as low as 8 litres per 100Km on the highway @ 110Km/hr. Terrific engineering (you all know that already!).
Had occasion to try and thread an electrical wire from the cabin to the boot recently (for a small travelling fridge) and so, took out back seat bolster, boot mats and the stiff fibre divider etc.
Aha, so THAT'S where the fuel tank is hidden!
HEY, this car DOES have a battery too - under the back seat - !!
So impressive, the way everything is routed and secured back there. Forget trying to thread a wire, though - an ant couldn't get through !!
A 12V lighter socket in the boot would be REAL handy.
The latest advice from a Sydney-based MB dealer is that the clock problem might be solved with a software or firmware update. I'll try that when in range. Thanks to anyone who's been scratching their head on my behalf. I'll post back if/when the problem is solved.:zoom:

Beside software upgrade and SD reconfiguration, you should have an option to desynchronize dash clock from command and this way keep that one accurate.
It should be in dash options on the cluster.
