The definition of Bank 1 and Bank 2 cylinders

There have been many posts asking-----"my scanner is advising Bank ! or 2, however were are the banks located?

Most OBD 6, 8 and 12 V block cylinder terminology assumes the person is in the drivers seat and calls Bank 1 cylinders on the right(passenger) side and bank 2(cylinders) on the left(drivers)side-----hopefully this will help in locating the cylinders when your scanner call a misfire or whatever on Bank 1 or Bank 2.

Looks like bank 1 and 2 is limit of Plutoe's intelligence.
Once we come to 8 cylinders, he is out of the game.
