Stuck in park & key stuck in ignition
Hello,
My E36 W210 is stuck in park currently and the key will not release.
I have searched a lot of W210 forums/sites but they all seem to have a different transmission to mine, i cannot release it with a pen (as far as i can tell anyway because of the different transmission)
This is what i don't have:

I would like to know if its possible to manually release the shifter so i can move my car from the car park and to get it fixed.

It sounds like the locking pin for the transmission got jammed somewhere between locked and unlocked, hence not being able to remove the key. Over time they get dry and covered with debris.
Try pushing the car back and forth to see if you can't get it to lock or unlock. It would help to have another person one working the shifter.
