Problem with my W210 E430
I have a problem with my W210 E430 and its driving me crazy as I didn't get any recommendation that can help.
The problem simply is that the car have a weak revving (when its in total stop) and the RPM will not go above 4000 only! while I'm driving it goes smooth but some times when i hit the Gas throttle to the Max , the can will not shift and will take few seconds like something is holding it then it will shift. I noticed that when I hit the Gas Throttle gently, the issue wont appear and the car will drive smooth!!
Any one can Advise about what the Issue can be?!
For me, I would suspect the problem is with the engine control system. Is it possibly going into limp-home mode? I had this once triggered by the brake-sensor. The car would run normally, but if I braked then it would go in limp-home, with limited power, restricted revs and very uncomfortable to drive. In my case, a new sensor was needed, but before that simply stopping, turning off, count to 20 and turning back on gave a temporary fix. I hope this helps

So the question is how long you are talking about?
Still when you ave any doubts about engine performance >>> start with basics.
-read the codes
-new fuel and air filters.
-clean MAF
- do all the maintenance neglected, or coming due (spark plugs, 02 sensors )
you might try and reset your "learned" throttle by pressing the throttle pedal all the way down for 5 seconds with the ignition in ACC and the engine not-running.
