Highway driving puts very little stress on a car in contrast to city driving. That's why cars that are driven 100,000-plus miles a year on the interstate feel brand new, compared with inner-city cars that feel worn out after 30,000 miles of potholes, stoplights, curb-hopping, low-speed/high-temperature operation.
Any city driven car gets in very bad shape.
city wise, stop and go, braking, potholes, etc etc = more stress.
A combo of both is fairly good for a car. My w202 has gotten 70% highway and 30% city. Now that I'm out of school for vacation, it'll be less highway and more city driving, but it still goes
