Will '03 CLK500 AMG Wheels fit '98 E320?
Hi all, been awhile since I posted on this forum. Its such a helpful site.
I have an opportunity to purchase some 17" Thin 5-spoke AMG wheels from a 2003 CLK500. I will not get the lugnuts.
I have a 98 E320 Sedan. According to TireRack.com, the wheels are the same offset and bolt pattern. The tires come with the wheels (Bridgestone SO3's) and I need to know the following:
Will the wheels fit my car without any mods.
Will my lugnuts fit these wheels?
Can I use the tires on the wheels, or do I need to change sizes?
Here's what I'm hoping to get:
Fronts: 225/40ZR/17 17x7.5
Rears: 245/40ZR/17 17x8.5

From what I understand you need to do some modding to the lugbolts to get them to fit. The newer CLK/E classes are not the same bolt size as ours, they are 14mm and we have 12mm. The bolt seat I've read as well doesn't sit correctly. Do a search in this forum as there were a couple of threads that talked about this. Nguyensteve in here put W211 wheels on his W210 and knows the details also, shoot him a PM...Good luck!
