Leather airbag G500 vs E class

Hi all. Can the leather airbag of the 2001-2002 G500 fit into the steering wheel of a 2000-2002 W210 steering. From the pix on ebay, it looks like the steering wheel and airbag for the "G" looks identical to the standard wood steering wheel of 2000-2002 E class. The story is that I bought a brabus steering wheel that fits into my 97 e420 but want a light grey leather airbag. I have had no luck with the dealer because they need a part#, which I do not have. So the idea is if the G steering and bag is the same as the E then I can walk into a dealership and say, "see that leather airbag, right there on that G500, thats exactly what I want"!!. All comments are welcome

Dude, what do you mean by "leather airbag?" Are you looking for a gray steering wheel? What does it matter about the color of the airbag inside. Are you looking for the center horn/airbag section of the steering wheel?

The outter cover of the airbag/horn/pad is leather on the G series.
On the E series its just plastic... I think he wants to know if they are interchangeable.

If You dont find the correct Air Bag On Ebay Might want to try Steve @mbenz.nl..I Got a Leather AMG Air Bag from him for my W210

Cobac is right on the money. The covers are different but mercedes sells it as one piece. You cannot remove the cover and put your own cover. If you look closely you will notice that the leather airbags have stitches on the edges and the plastic ones dont. So if they are interchangable then I can just buy the G500 bag in light grey to match my steering and interior leather. Comments?
