Added one to the stable
It’s a W208, but definitely kin to my W210. The one one the right is the newest member of the family. She’s a 2000 CLK 430 convertible with....259,000 miles! Looks, runs and drives great! AMG wheels, 2-tone grey interior, California car since day one. Was a former Starmark car. Top is inoperable at the moment. Needs a new antenna and a trunk liner, but otherwise, great car! It’s for one of my daughters. Wish I had something as cool for my first car! She joins my 2002 E430 and my 1997 W202. 647,000 combined miles in the fleet! Hope she treats us as well as the others have.

Thanks Pluto, I did/will. Seems cheaper than what 97% of the kids wind up with: A brand new to 5 year old used Honda, Kia, Jeep or whatever. $10,000 to $30,000 cars that inevitably seem to get banged up. I am all in about $1500 for the CLK...with a brand new set of $560 tires. Both my W210 and W202 (C230) have needed nothing other than very basic maintenance....tires, oil, plugs, shocks. I know things can go wrong, and some repairs could be expensive, but not much different than any of the other types of cars people pay $10,000++ to own. No car note, cheaper insurance costs, nice safety features, good looks, etc, etc... I'll roll the dice. Ever driven a modern econo-box that so many people own?...yuck. Thoughts?
