can't figure out what it is. could also be a pressure/temp. sensor. it is connected to a vacuum line that goes under the intake manifold that might have a leak.i like to learn about my car.

if you're not sure what it is, it would help greatly if you posted a picture of it to give folks a relative
idea of the location and what it is hooked up to. you only describe several key bits of info: year,
model and a hose....but not a definite engine model or which hose
it's like a hollywood bomb defuse situation: we're running blind...you're right there. describe in
detail (!) what you see and have. photos would be great
