Need a suggestion on my oil and oil filter

I'm wanting to do my first oil change on my w210. Shes a 2002 so what would you guys suggest oil and filter wise? Go to the dealer and get MB brand? Or use Mobil1 like I was suggested or someone told me use mobil1 Full Synthetic (7 quarts) and Lucas Oil Full Synthetic (1 quart) and what weight should I use brings shes older?

Use Mobil 1 0W-40 and a Mann oil filter. You can get the Mann filter from Amazon for approximately $14. Car takes 8.5 quarts of oil. Good Luck

Thanks for the info! Gonna change it either this weekend or next weekend. I still have 2000 miles before the oil change.

Bookmark this page and learn how to use it at each service, as oil recommendations lately change on monthly basis.
Your manual will give you dino oils recommendations, when in the mean time USA lawyers come with requirements for synthetics.

You can so long as they are the real thing and fleece filters.

not going to take the chance. I'll just get it from Amazon.

I bought 5, 5 quart jugs of Mobil 1 online at Wal-Mart . com...free shipping and cheapest place I found. My local Wal-Mart is hit or miss with availability and price. I buy the Mann filters on Amazon.

Are you planning to drain from the bottom or evacuation? I like the Mityvac, works well and is very easy and clean. I've done dozens of oil changes on my Mercedes cars over the years.

My first Mercedes, I have only had it since December. So this is my first oil change on her. Could you please post a link or pics of the mityvac? I didnt know this was an option! What's better? Drain from bottom or evacuate?

Has anyone tried the new Amazon full synthetic yet? I watched a test done between the Amazon, Mobil 1, and Valvoline full synthetics and Amazon crushed Valvoline and held up better then Mobil 1 in the cold temp and warm temp viscosity tests.

I like evacuation, but others may not. I bet you can look on Youtube for videos of it being used. I bought nine on amazon....this was the first link that came up.

The Amazon oil doesn’t meet MB spec. Stick with Mobil1

LovemyE320 04-13-2019 04:56 PM

I wouldn't want to take the chance. I'm definitely sticking with mobil1 full synthetic

LovemyE320 04-13-2019 05:46 PM
