Orthopedic seats retrofit?

- you would need to find takeoff seats which are color coordinated
- may require door panel color matching, too
- verify that all the airbags are functioning (not uncommon to find leakage)
- verify that all hoses and fittings are functioning and not leaking
- buy valves, hoses to retrofit to your PSE pump
- have access to someone with a STAR/SDS multiplexer AND KNOWLEDGE to code the PSE pump to handshake with the new plumbing
- pull seats and carpet to lay the hose (requires care and a little tedious)
- you may be able to buy just the seat covers, with airbags, valves...and then recover your existing seat frame (tedious and muscle)
- cheaper to buy lumbar pillow
- your back, butt, wallet should be consulted with regard to the value of 'worth it'

Frankly - it may be easier to fashion added "cushion" and "back rest" pads - the "Orthopedic" seats from the W210 are subject 15yr old age problems with the air mechanics (bladders/hoses) - and as Raymond has pointed out a major retrofit project as well.
