1999 E320 RF Door lock vacuum failure

no keyboard theory is going to help much and you really need to systematically isolate the failure
by tracing each hose. it is more labor and patience involved. access is relatively easy if you
have a garage (vs a carport)
as well, so can't rule out something like something sticking or dirty etc. I don't recall being traumatized by
those exploratories, rather, found them fairly educational and learning about the mechanical operation
part of the door lock system.
oh, full disclosure: that photo was not from troubleshooting the door lock and air hoses but during a
complete replacement of the seats from standard to Designo (air bladders). so the carpeting was
pulled and hoses upgraded.
the hoses can get pretty brittle (age ?) so be careful handling them especially at fittings. they can also
leak AT the fittings...or split if flexed such as near a door hinge location.
